Top 40 Festival Draws to a Close in Los Alamitos -- November 8, 2004

LOS ALAMITOS, CA, November 8. SPEEDO’S 3rd Annual Top 40 Festival came to a close today, with the U.S. Women’s Junior Team (competing as Team Aster) winning the Top 40 Tournament championship and the New York Athletic Club taking home the first-ever Top 40 Festival Open Tournament crown.

Top 40 Tournament awards went to Natalie Golda (Top Scorer), Jamie Hipp (Most Valuable Goalkeeper) and Alison Gregorka (Most Valuable Player), while the Open Tournament honors went to Tanya Gandy (Top Scorer), Nicolle Payne (Most Valuable Goalkeeper) and Priscilla Orozco (Most Valuable Player).

Over 3,000 bodies paid to take in the action over the weekend, despite steady showers on Sunday morning.
