Olympian Josh Davis Speaks to Gulf Swimming Banquet -- October 3, 2004

HOUSTON, TX, October 3. GULF Swimming held its 2003-04 season awards banquet on Sunday, September 26, 2004, at the Omni Hotel Westside in Houston.

Five time Olympic medalist Josh Davis spoke to the attendees about motivation and how to be a winner in all aspects of life.

Level I and II Awards were presented to the swimmers, along with numerous special awards.

The Age Group Coach of the Year was presented to Bill Bailey of First Colony Swim Team and the Senior Coach of the Year was presented to Tim Bauer of The Woodlands Swim Team.

The Pauline Phillips Award was presented to Emily Fletcher of Blue Tide Aquatics, while Kathryn Bloodworth was honored with the ConocoPhillips Outstanding Service Award.

MK Bower of the Houston Chronicle was honored with the Swim Journalistic Achievement of the Year Award."
