National High School 100 Breast Record Broken -- March 2, 1999

KRISTEN WOODRING OF WILSON H.S. IN WEST LAWN, PA. broke Kristy Kowal's national high school record of 1:01.47 in the 100 yard breaststroke, set in 1996, with a time of 1:00.74 (split: 28.52) on February 27 at a Pennsylvania district meet.

Amazingly, Kowal was also from Wilson H.S. Kowal and Woodring also set their records in the same pool.
