Three Masters World Records Set at Swedish Meet

MALMO, Sweden, March 30. THREE world and an additional 10 European and 55 Swedish national records were set at the Swedish Short Course Masters Championships in Malmö last weekend.

Hungary's Attila Czene, the 1996 Olympic champion in the 200 IM, set two global marks in the men's 30-34 age group. Swimming for the Malmö Kappsimningsklubb, he clocked 56.36 for the 100 meter individual medley and 2:04.01 for the 200m IM.

Swedish icon Glen Christiansen raced to a world record time of 1:06.48 for men 45-49.

800 free, women 30-34, Åsa Neij, Jönköpings SS, 9:14.03

800 free, women 55-59, Margareta Rainer, SoIK Hellas, 11:11.12

400 free, women 55-59, Margareta Rainer, SoIK Hellas, 5:27.33 (split in 800m free)

400 free, women 55-59, Margareta Rainer, SoIK Hellas 5:25.22

100 back, women 30-34, Camilla Johansson, Trelleborgs SS, 1:04.30

50 fly, women 30-34, Helena Åberg, Helsingborgs SS, 0:29.06

800 free, men 80-84, Nils Kling Norrköpings KK, 14:35.51

50 back, men 65-69, Peter Bergengren, SoIK Hellas, 0:35.11

100 back, men 80-84, Nils Kling, Norrköpings KK, 1:41.17

200m free relay, men 320-359, SoIK Hellas, 3:04.71
