Bill Hybl, president of the U.S. Olympic Committee, met with International Olympic Committee President Juan Antonio Samaranch and requested "appropriate medal recognition" for the 1976 U.S. Olympic medley relay team of Linda Jezek, Lauri Siering, Camile Wright and Shirley Babashoff, who finished second to the East Germans by 6.6 seconds. Samaranch said the IOC's executive committee will consider the matter in early December.
