American Swimmer Suspended -- November 12, 1998

LAUSANNE, SWITZERLAND - Suzanne Black has been suspended for 3 months after a positive test for recreational drugs. Black won the women's 1,500m freestyle title at the 1997 World University Games. FINA said Black had tested positive for cannabinoids in an unannounced doping test. It did not say when the test was done.
