2000 Olympic Ticket Prices Changed -- October 2, 1998

SYDNEY, Australia - Sydney Olympic organizers have increased the prices of best seats but have made more cheaper seats available for the 2000 Olympic Games. Tickets will range from about $6 to $800. While the top price is more expensive than four years ago in Atlanta, there are also significantly cheaper tickets available for the Sydney games. The Sydney Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games said 75% of the 9.6 million tickets would be made available to Australians, with 70% costing less than $34.80 and 80% less than $58. Track and field, swimming, artistic gymnastics and men's basketball all have a top price of $263.
