Piersma and Gustin Wed -- August 11, 1998

On June 13, NCAA champion John Piersma married his University of Michigan teammate Rachel Gustin at a ceremony in Cincinnati attended by family, friends, past coaches and "most of the Michigan men's and women's teams," reports Michigan assistant coach, Eric Namesnik. The couple enjoyed a 5-week honeymoon in Europe. John and Rachel will live in Ann Arbor, where Rachel will attend medical school.
