Comebacks...And Non-Comebacks -- July 24, 1998

1992 U.S. Olympic sweetheart Anita Nall, 22, training with her former coach, Murray Stephens at the North Baltimore Aquatic Club this summer to decide whether to make a serious comeback.

Russians Evgeny Sadovyi, a triple gold medalist in Barcelona, and Denis Pankratov, Swimming World's male "World Swimmer of the Year" in 1995 and '96, are back in heavy training with their sights fixed on Sydney 2000.

Butterfly ace Byron Davis has decided not to pursue a comeback. He continues to devote his time writing for Swimming World, giving motivational speeches and conducting swim clinics.

Australian world-record holder Rebecca Brown has announced her retirement from swimming at the age of 21.
