Super Story -- March 8, 1998

In honor of the Denver Broncos, here's a heart-warming, Super Bowl related story we heard recently. It seems that not long ago, the Colorado Masters board of directors was meeting in a Denver restaurant when in walked John Elway and his wife, Janet. After conferring quickly the board members approached the Elways...and asked Janet for her autograph! She obliged with a smile. John's OK, but swimmers can recognize real athletic talent. Janet Elway is the former Janet Buchan, an All-American swimmer at Stanford in the early '80s. Reportedly, her husband smiled with chagrin.
