Olympian Kurt Grote and Wife Amy Welcome a New Arrival -- March 13, 2002

PALO ALTO, Calif., March 13. KURT GROTE, a 1996 and 2000 Olympian and 1998 World Champion, and his wife, Amy, are the proud parents of a baby boy, Kellen Alexander Grote.

Kellen was born on March 9th, at 5:53 p.m. He's a big boy, weighing 9 pounds, 8 ounces; and measuring 21 3/4 inches.

the proud father commented: "Although life has been hectic for the past four days, this has also been among the most joyous and satisfying times in our lives."
