Lotta Wanberg Named WAC Swimmer of the Week -- January 28, 2002

DALLAS, Jan. 28. SMU junior Lotta Wanberg has been named the Western Athletic Conference athlete of the week for women's swimming and diving.

Wanberg, a native of Malmo, Sweden, captured three events and a relay title in dual meets against Rice and Houston last weekend. Wanberg won the 200 freestyle against Rice, touching in with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 1:51.03.

She was also part of the victorious 200 free relay team. The next day against Houston, Wanberg won the 200 I.M. with a time of 2:09.45 and won the 500 free in 4:58.72.
