CollegeSwimming.com Swimmers of the Week Honors Announced

SOMERS, Wisconsin, November 4. MULTIPLE wins and NCAA "B" times for Kathleen Hersey (University of Texas) and Shaune Fraser (University of Florida) earned the pair the Counsilman Hunsaker National Collegiate Swimmer-of-the-Week Honors. Also earning the award were Ashley St. Andrew (Wayne State University), Nelson Silva (Ouachita Baptist University), Amanda Croix (Carthage College), and Nathan Ripley (Carthage College). The six won the award based on their performances for the week of October 26-November1.

Division I Women
Kathleen Hersey, University of Texas

Hersey (Roswell, GA) had four wins in dual meet victories over Indiana (222-162) and Michigan (235-149). The sophomore won the 200 individual medley (1:59.79, NCAA "B" time), the 400 individual medley (4:14.40, NCAA "B" time), the 100 butterfly (53.97, NCAA "B" time) and the 200 butterfly (1:56.98, NCAA "B" time). She also swam to a second place in the 200 backstroke (1:56.90, NCAA "B" time). The All-American also swam on five winning relays, the 200 freestyle relay (1:32.80), the 400 medley relay, (3:42.81, NCAA "B" time), the 200 medley relay (1:43.04), the 800 freestyle relay (7:23.00, NCAA "B" time) and the 400 freestyle relay (3:22.96, NCAA "B" time).

Division I Men
Shaune Fraser, University of Florida

Fraser (George Town, Cayman Islands) had two wins in the 139-104 dual meet victory over Georgia. The senior won the 200 butterfly (1:46.59, NCAA "B" time) and the 200 individual medley (1:50.12). The All-American also swam on the winning 400 medley relay (3:17.58, NCAA "B" time).

Division II Women
Ashley St. Andrew, Wayne State University

St. Andrew (Grand Rapids, MI) had one win in the 131-169 dual meet loss to Oakland University. The senior won the 1000 freestyle (10:27.82, NCAA "B" time), swam to a second place finish in the 500 freestyle (5:10.87, NCAA "B" time) and third place in the 400 individual medley (4:42.40).

Division II Men
Nelson Silva, Ouachita Baptist University

Silva (Sao Paulo, Brazil) had two wins in the 103-138 loss to Drury University; the 100 butterfly (50.21, NCAA "B" time) and the 100 backstroke (51.35, NCAA "B" time). The senior also assisted on the winning 200 medley relay (1:32.89, NCAA "A" time).

Division III Women
Amanda Croix, Carthage College

Croix (Bradley, IL) had three wins in the 118-144 dual meet loss to Hope College. The junior won the 200 freestyle (1:55.35, NCAA "B" time), the 50 freestyle (23.83, NCAA"B" time) and the 100 freestyle (52.78, NCAA "B" time). The All-American also assisted on the winning 200 medley relay (1:51.95).

Division III Men
Nathan Ripley, Carthage College

Ripley (Middleton, WI) had three wins in the 133-129 dual meet victory over Hope College. The senior won the 50 freestyle (21.87), the 200 freestyle (1:46.01) and the 100 freestyle (48.62). Ripley also assisted on the winning 400 freestyle relay (3:14.16).
