Kosuke Kitajima Returns to Competition in November -- October 22, 2009

LOS ANGELES, California, October 22. KOSUKE Kitajima has announced that he will return from his 15-month break during a meet held at the Tokyo Swimming Center next month according to Reuters. Kitajima will swim the 50, 100 and 200 breaststroke events at the meet taking place Nov. 20-23.

Kitajima has been training at the Trojan Swim Club under Dave Salo this past year, but decided to skip the 2009 World Championships in Rome this summer after winning the 100 and 200 breast gold medals at the 2009 Beijing Games.

Reuters also reported that Kitajima is contemplating swimming at the Japanese National Championships and that he is being lobbied to compete for Japan at the 2010 Pan Pacific Championships.
