Mary DeScenza-Mohler, USMS' 50,000th Member Interviews on The Morning Swim Show -- September 28, 2009

PHOENIX, Arizona, September 28. 200-butterfly specialist Mary DeScenza talks about a special summer both in and out of the pool on Monday's edition of The Morning Swim Show.

DeScenza stunned spectators in Rome after breaking the world record in the prelims of her signature event at the World Championships. DeScenza finished 4th in the final heat, but it was still a sign that she isn't finished in the sport.

Shortly after the World Championships, DeScenza married Charlie Mohler, an officer of The United States Marine Corps. Mohler's next military assignment is in Japan, and DeScenza says she will train there in preparation for the 2012 Olympics.

Monday's edition of The Morning Swim Show continues with an interview with Sally Bradley, who recently became the 50,000th person to register with United States Masters Swimming. Bradley talks with host Peter Busch about the surprise phone call she got from USMS.
