August 25, 2009 Yay Missy and Todd!

Haha! "Is Missy tall?"

What??? That's Todd Schmitz, joining us from North Dakota? Mayber COLORADO?

Todd,
I CANNOT believe he did not ask you about your intersting 'cheering style'. Everyone knows when Todd is cheering! And NO ONE else even cheers anything even vaguely similar to Todd. I think that is the real reason why Missy and all your girls are so fast. JK. It's actually the hard work I know you all put in everyday. I think we need to videotape Todd cheering for the 4x100 Relay at Juniors and put it on YouTube.

And, not to brag or anything, but I remember when Missy and I were in the same land at the Juniors Camp at TOPS in November, and I was totally beating Missy, and Todd said was timing us, and then he says Missy beat me by like half a second. I was like 'Uh oh!!! A girl just beat me!" And, you know me, I don't get beat that often, especially by girls! But, anyways, great job Missy, I will rembember that you called me the coolest person ever when I am watching you in the Olympics. Haha.

August 25, 2009 Yay Missy and Todd!!!!

"Is Missy tall?" Hahaha

Todd,
I CANNOT believe that they did not ask you about your interesting 'cheering style'. It's SO unique! Everyone knows Todd and the Colorado STARS are in the house when they hear "BOOOOOOOO!!!!!!" followed by you slapping your program on you arm. I have to admit, swim meets are kinda boring without Todd there. I think your cheering is the reason why Missy and all your swimmers are so fast. JK. I know it's the hard work they put in during practice. But seriously, your cheering should have been discussed! We should have got a video of you cheering for the 4x100 Free Relay at Juniors and posted it on YouTube. Hahaha.

Missy,
I remember when we were at the Juniors camp at TOPS in November and we were in the same lane doing 50s for time. And Todd was timing us, and I was totally beating you, but then Todd calls out that you beat my by like half a second!!? I would usually beat myself up over something like that, especially since I think that I am faster than you in everything (Not to brag, I don't think I can brag to you because your bragging totally beats my bragging.)Missy, you are crazy. CRAZY FAST! And also, I want to know when you are going to set the American Record, because I will video tape it and then we can sell it to someone for lots and lots of money. Haha. Keep working hard and don't forget me when your on the medal stand in the Olympics (you might want to mention me as you greatest influence or something, JK).

August 25, 2009 Todd and Missy you are both so much fun to watch. At Juniors Todd screamed himself hoarse! Missy was dancing with the other Stars swimmers,at the BLOCKS!!!! Keep it up you two. You are good for Colorado swimming! Missy, good luck at the World Cup and keep smiling for all of us! We'll all be watching. You will get that American record sooner than you think. The question is in which event first.

August 26, 2009 coachcj, what suit will Missy be wearing when she gets the record??

I've been receiving e-mail after e-mail about buying an LZR from USA swimsuit dealers. Its like a bad joke. Where is one going to be able to compete in an LZR or any other hi tech suit. I got to thinking and checked around with some of the stores I deal with and found that there is at least $1 million dollars in suits that won't see the water. One Million$$ dollars, why does USA Swimming let the club swimming use up a large portion of these suits between now and January 1 to help many small bussiness that supported swimming avoid a huge loss. For me, its not a big deal. What is 3 more months of swimming in an LZR since its been in the pool for the last 2 years.

It would interesting to see an article on the finicial loss many of these business will face in these difficult economic times. USA Swimming could save some bussiness or let them die.

August 26, 2009 Steve,

Todd Schmitz was indeed in North Dakota. He was there on vacation. In hindsight, we should have mentioned why he was there. Thanks for your comments.
