Iowa Boys High School State Championships

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa, February 12. THE Iowa Boys High School State Championships took place at the Community Y of Marshalltown. Muscatine won the meet with 187.5 points, followed by Dubuque, Senior (141) and Cedar Falls (135).

Muscatine won the 200 medley relay, and three individual events on its way to overall victory. Haden Calegan won the 200 IM (1:53.06), while Tyler Calegan took the 100 fly (50.50). Teammate Travis Greenwald took the 100 breast in 58.55. Paul Jindrich joined these three on the 200 medley relay, which won in 1:35.17.

Dubuque, Hempstead's Ben Loeffelholz doubled with wins in the 50 (21.07) and 100 free (46.22). Iowa City's Colin McAllister won the 200 free in 1:42.57, while teammate Cameron Herting took the 500 free, clocking 4:36.06.

Cedar Falls' Austin Abbas won the 100 back (51.35) and led off Cedar Falls' victorious 400 free relay (3:09.85), consisting of Jon Baker, Gabe Langner, and Josh Sund. Dubuque, Senior won the 200 free relay in 1:25.35.
