Annual Meeting To Determine Future Direction of USA Water Polo

Colorado Springs, CO – The 2000 USA Water Polo Annual Meeting, which will be held January 11-15, 2001 in Los Alamitos, CA, will determine the future course of USA Water Polo. This post-Olympic Annual meeting is where
virtually all volunteer leadership positions of the organization will be up for election.

"This is clearly the most important meeting of the next four years," said Jim Linehan, Chair of the Rules Committee of USA Water Polo. "It is the Board of Directors and Executive Council that set the policies and direction of USA Water Polo. The Officers and a majority of Directors will be selected at this meeting. In addition, all the key decisions that will affect USA Water Polo for the next four years will be discussed and determined at this meeting – from the make up of the Executive Council and Board of Directors to the selection of national team coaches, budgeting priorities and staff directions."

The Board of Delegates, elected at the local level of the nine (9) geographic Zones of USA Water Polo, will elect the Officer positions of President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer (who automatically becomes chair of the Finance Committee) of USA Water Polo.

Except for the Finance Committee, all USA Water Polo Standing Committees shall elect their own Chairs.

Olympic Games.)

The National Coaches Committee elects a chair who will serve on the Executive Council, 4 level VI Coaches to the Men's Olympic Committee and 4 Coaches who
