I see that you have Dara Torres listed as having the World Record for the 40-44 age-group. I am happy to see that. USMS and FINA do not list age-group WR for anyone unless they register for Masters. I'm of the opinion that age-group WR should be able to be set by anyone of the correct age regardless of their registration. Anyone agree?
August 5, 2008 Onehandtoucher is correct. Natalie has broken 100 back wr five times, not four.
Typo.
Ditto Coach Hasher's note about Friedrich. She didn't win 400 @ Seoul, Evans obviously did. Brand fade.
As for Marshall's 1:58.16 200 from the Tirals that time does indeed make the cut and it was on orginal list.
In process of cutting larger list down to 50/50 her time accidentally got zapped.
Sorry, Christine, but when you become the firfst woman under 1:50.0 at next year's World Championship Trials I'll be sure and include it!!
Thx to all the sharp-eye readers outgthere.
Just one final point: an Italian gentleman wrote in saying Novella Calligaris was first Italian woman to ever set a wr (800 free @ '73 World Championships in Belgrade) and that is correct.
But the note in the 400 free doesn't say Pelligrini was first Italian woman to do that, just FIRST in 400 free.

August 6, 2008 Love the list.
Libby Lenton's records in the Commonwealth Games 2006 and WC 2007 were in different pools. The Comm Games were in the Sports & Aquatic Centre, the WC were in the specially-built pool inside Rod Laver Arena at Melbourne Park..
