USA Swimming Sectionals, Oklahoma City: Historic Facility Records Take Several Hits

OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma, July 19. THE pool record board took some amazing shots on the final night of swimming at the USA Swimming Sectional held in Oklahoma City.

Justine Mueller of Select began the evening with a meet and pool record in the women's 200 IM. Mueller clocked a time of 2:17.52 to set the meet standard and break Liz Smith's pool facility of 2:18.23 from 2007. Samantha Woodward, 17, finished second in 2:18.73, while Amanda Masters, 17, took third in 2:20.56.

Bobby Bollier completed a remarkable run with a meet and pool record in the men's 200 IM with a time of 2:03.99. His performance cleared the 2:05.22 pool record set by Sergey Mariniuk back in 1995. Bryan Difford touched second in 2:08.17, while Evan Noble, 16, claimed third in 2:09.55.

Jamie Marks of the Hawgs crushed the pool record and her competition in the women's 1500 free with a time of 16:58.52. That shot down the 1994 pool record set by Joy Stover with a 17:07.93. Rebecca Swank, 17, of Wichita took second in 17:34.59, while Kari Peglar finished third in 17:39.28.

Vito Cammisano, 17, of the Kansas City Blazers earned the men's 1500 free title in 16:25.92. Garin Marlow, 15, of Rockwood placed second in 16:32.08, while Andy Kilkenny, 16, wound up third in 16:33.71.

Another meet and pool record fell in the women's 50 free. Woodward hit the wall in 25.69 to beat Angel Martino's pool standard of 25.74 set in 1995. Maddy Dalcamo, 15, finished second in 26.75, while Taylor Reynolds, 17, placed third in 26.79.

Ryan Bubb, 16, touched out Ciro Sauaia in the men's 50 free, 23.91 to 23.96. Sean Mathews took third in 24.12.

The 400 medley relays finished the night. Rockwood's Masters, Haley Spencer, Casey Miller and Lauren Votava won the women's title in 4:19.33 to break the pool record of 4:19.49 set by Sports Fest way back in 1989.

Kansas City Blazers Jonathon Benson, Nate Ladner, Bollier and Kevin Webster snatched a meet record with a time of 3:51.71. That broke the record of 3:53.16 set by Clayton Shaw Park in 2006.
