July 14, 2008 Isakovic went 1:55.9?! That's three seconds under her national record! Is that correct?

July 14, 2008 Yup, if the results are correct, that's the legit time for her. I typoed the former record though. She'd had a 1:56 coming in, not a 1:58. Good catch.

July 14, 2008 I still call her a darkhorse in the event because she has never done anything on a major stage. How old is she? This event is becoming as wide open as it was in 2004 just as it was starting to take shape.

July 14, 2008 Not sure about her exact age (haven't really tried to look too hard for it), but I know off hand that she's starting college at California this fall. Might be an older international starter, or 18.
