Lenny Krayzelburg Inducted Into National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame

COMMACK, New York, June 11. LENNY Krayzelburg, who recently announced his official retirement from competitive swimming, was inducted into the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame on June 8 at The Suffolk Jewish Community Center.

He was part of the induction class comprised of sports media personalities Sam Rosen and Tony Kornheiser; Olympic gymnast Kerri Strug; Olympic fencing champion Daniel Bukantz; football Hall of Famer Ron Mix; University of Tennessee men's basketball head coach Bruce Pearl; and legendary St. John's basketball player Hy Gotkin.

"Our inductees and honorees truly exemplify what the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame is all about," said Chairman of the Hall of Fame Lynne Kramer. "In their own way, each one of them have overcome adversities, challenged stereotypes and blazed a trail for others to follow. We hope by honoring these Jewish men and women for their accomplishments we can show young Jews that there are no limits for them."
