EINDHOVEN, Netherlands, June 8. SEVERAL meet records fell during the final day of swimming at the Dutch Nationals held in Eindhoven.
Tom Vangeneugden won the 1500 free with a top time of 15:29.11. Sharon van Rouwendaal then set a meet record in the women's 1500 free with a time of 16:48.17.
In previous preliminary action, Femke Heemskerk also broke the women's 200 free national record with a time of 1:57.86. That time beat Marleen Veldhuis' 1:58.26 set in 2006.

Pieter van den Hoogenband blitzed the 100 free with a winning time of 48.67 during morning finals. He also clocked a swift time of 48.37 during prelims. His 48.37 stands among the top 10 in the world this year, behind Matt Targett's 48.36.
Veldhuis followed in the women's 100 free with a meet-record time of 53.82, just off her season-best effort of 53.67 from March. The Dutch sprinters had a strong final with Inge Dekker (54.29), Ranomi Kromowidjojo (54.36) and Heemskerk (54.53).
Nick Driebergen topped the men's 100 back with a time of 55.92, while Aishling Cooney won the women's 100 back with a meet-record time of 1:02.55.
The 50 breaststroke titles went to Barry Murphy in the men's race with a time of 28.44, while Tessa Brouwer claimed the women's crown in 32.64. Rieneke Terink next took the women's 400 IM title in 4:58.46.
Robin van Aggele (24.29) and Hinkelien Schreuder (26.05) then claimed their respective men's and women's 50 fly titles.
