Host Brent Rutemiller opens the show with news on the Japanese Olympic Trials, the newest swimmers named to Great Britain's Olympic team and a commentary by John Leonard about age-group swimming affected by new swimsuit technology.

The show concludes with an interview with Great Britain's Mark Foster, who won silver in the men's 50 free at the recent FINA short course world championships in his home country. Foster, who will be 38 years old in May, talks about his training methods these days and how they differ from his training as a younger swimmer. Part of that training, he said, involves lots of weight lifting and cardio work outside of the pool. In the pool, the focus is on race training.
