Lisa Hazen Hired by Finis as Vice President of Operations

LIVERMORE, California, March 26. FINIS has announced that it hired Lisa Hazen as the Vice President of Operations.

Hazen grew up in Sacramento, Calif., where she was trained by Sherm Chavoor at Arden Hills. Hazen then went on to attend Stanford University where she became a five-time All-American under George Haines.

Hazen continues to do well in the swimming world with top finishes in numerous Professional Marathon races and Masters Competitions. She also competes in various Open Water swims, most notably the recent 2008 World Championship 10K Trials, a preliminary race for the Olympics.

"Swimming for Sherm and George taught me that a strong work ethic reaps results," Hazen said. "Having the opportunity to work with Finis is amazing. It's great to be able to use my 22 years of work experience and apply it to something I am so passionate about."

Hazen comes to Finis directly from Labcyte, Inc., where she grew the company infrastructure from infancy to its current state, supporting operations and endeavors around the globe.

"Having Lisa as part of our Finis team is a tremendous asset," Finis president John Mix said. "Lisa's background and passion for the sport combined with extensive IT knowledge will further our edge as the leader in technical swimming product development. With six former university team captains and eight former college-level swimmers and water polo players on staff, Finis has the opportunity to truly advance the sport. Our focus remains to improve the quality of swimming on all levels."
