Longstanding Canadian National Age Group Record Falls

ALBERTA, Canada, March 19. NATASHA Fung of the Olympian Swim Club broke the National Age Group Record in the women's 13-14 200 IM in action at the 2008 Alberta Age Group Championships.

Her time of 2:16.36 breaks the former record held by Allison Higson who set the mark back in 1987 with a 2:16.79.

In the Swimmers With A Disability category Drayton Valley's Amber Thomas broke the Canadian Record for the S11 women's 400 Freestyle going 6:17.45.

In the 10 & under 100 Freestyle Kyle Folk of the Edmonton Keyano Swim Club broke the provincial record going 1:05. His time also puts him at the top of the TAS Power Rankings in Canada. In the 13-14 men Thomas Jobin of Cascade Swim Club picked up his third record of the weekend breaking the 1988 record set by Curtis Myden. Jobin's time of 4:03.66 shaving 2.11 seconds off the old record.
