USA Diving Looking For High Performance Director

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, February 14. USA Diving is seeking applicants with strong and respected leadership skills and a vision to return USA Diving to No. 1 in the world. The successful candidate will oversee elite level programs from talent identification to Olympic and World Championship success and will be responsible for the development of a seamless athlete pipeline in cooperation with the clubs and coaches throughout the United States.

Applicants should have experience working with elite athletes and coaches, have outstanding administrative abilities and be an excellent educator and spokesperson with great interpersonal and communication skills. This individual will report directly to the CEO of USA Diving and must be effective working with a leadership team to develop and execute long- and short-term plans. Experience working with the U.S. Olympic Committee and/or sports organizations is preferred, and a background within the sport of diving is beneficial. Applicants must be committed to the development of a training and competition environment for divers in the United States that establishes the highest performance expectations, promotes teamwork and transparency and establishes a solid foundation and tradition of excellence for the future.

The High Performance Director will be responsible for:

Strategic planning for international competition
Oversight and evaluation of the National Training Center operations
International team selection and preparation
International competitive performance
Input and direction of the continuing development of coaches
Talent identification and development
Interaction and communication with coaches of National Team athletes
Oversight and management of annual plans for the team
Oversight and management of sport science, sports medicine and coaching education programs
The High Performance Director will work with the Committee for Competitive Excellence and CEO of USA Diving to achieve continuous improvement of USA Diving's results in world level competition, at both the senior and junior levels of participation. The High Performance Director will be based in Indianapolis, Ind.

USA Diving is a not-for-profit organization recognized by the U.S. Olympic Committee as the sport's national governing body. Headquartered in Indianapolis, USA Diving offers a variety of programs for all ages and skill levels. It is a network of people working together to conduct, promote and participate in the United States' most successful Olympic sport.

Minimum Requirements
Experience working with Olympic level athletes and coaches

Bachelor's degree, preferably with teaching and science emphasis
Administrative experience, including preparation and effective management of budgets
Long-range planning skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability and willingness to travel nationally and internationally

Pay Range
To be negotiated, plus an excellent benefits package
