Save Syracuse Swimming Debuts Web Site -- July 9, 2007

SYRACUSE, New York, July 9. THE fight to Save Syracuse Swimming from being cut, as previously reported, to make way for women's ice hockey continues as Save Syracuse Swimming and its supporters launched a central web site (www.savesyracuseswimming.com) where updated information will be available to the public.

As stated on the site:

"On June 1, 2007 Syracuse Athletics announced that it will cut men's and women's swimming and diving teams after the 2007-08 season and add a women's hockey program beginning in the 2008-09 season. This announcement will end a 90-year swimming and diving tradition at Syracuse. A tradition with a history of both athletic and academic excellence. Direct supporters to this Web site and visit often to check for updates on what we as supporters can do to appeal to Syracuse University to reverse it's decision to eliminate men's and women's swimming and diving and keep their tradition of excellence alive!"

Please visit the site often to see what you can do to help in the fight to save the program.
