Two Masters World Records for Wilder -- June 5, 2007

ATHENS, Georgia, June 5. RACING at the Classic City Masters Meet, held at the University of Georgia, Hugh Wilder of Palmetto Masters (Charleston, S.C.) set a pair of Masters world records in long-course action. Competing in the 60-64 age group, Wilder posted a time of 31.46 in the 50 backstroke and covered the 100 backstroke in 1:08.77. The previous marks were held by Richard Burns, who went 32.11 in the 50 distance in 2003, and 1:11.89 in the 100 distance last year.
