Hawaii Sweeps UCI and CSUN -- November 17, 1999

The University of Hawaii men and women swam to victory in back-to-back double dual meets with the University of California at Irvine and Cal State University at Northridge last weekend in Hawaii.

On November 12, the Rainbow men dunked UCI 98-15 and CSUN 102-10. Irvine defeated Northridge 81-27. Hawaii's women beat Irvine 92-20 and Northridge 80-33, with Northridge defeating UCI 65-47.

The following day, the results were similar. Hawaii's men beat UCI 83-21 and CSUN 90-13, with UCI downing CSUN 76-23. For the women, it was Hawaii 86-27 over Irvine, 80-33 over Northridge, and Northridge the winner over Irvine 66-47.

Hawaii's Nick Folker had the outstanding performance in the two-day meet when he clocked 43.52 in the 100 yard free. Lori Thomas set a school record in winning the 50 yard free in 23.11.
