Missy Franklin is using the Arena Pro Swim Series Santa Clara as a way to knock some cobwebs off since she hasn’t raced since leading California to the NCAA Championship.

Franklin claimed her first race winnings with $200 in the 200-meter free for a third-place finish.

Franklin then came back and swam in a heat with a bunch of other Golden Bears in the 50-meter back as Natalie Coughlin downed the American record in the event.
