These days, Michael Andrew ranks as one of the top athletes in the sport, a 2020 Olympian who capped the Tokyo Games by helping the United States to the gold medal in the 400-meter medley relay. First known for his record-breaking exploits at the age-group level, Andrew is now chasing a berth to this summer’s World Championships in Fukuoka.
