Video Interview: Matt McLean Claims Big National Title in 200 Free

IRVINE, California, August 7. MATT McLean won the national title in the men’s 200 free on Tuesday night, but he did not leave pleased with his swim for anything besides the win. McLean clocked 1:46.93, slower than the 1:46.90 he swam in the morning prelims and slower than his times from either of the past two years. McLean spoke of racing training partner Conor Dwyer and his thoughts on why many finals, specifically the 100 and 200 free, have been slower than expected at the meet.
