Three Swim-Offs Decide Championship Heat At Texas Age Group Champs

AUSTIN, Texas, July 29. AT the Texas Age Group Swimming Championships on Sunday, it took three swim-offs to decide the eighth-place qualifier in the boys’ 9-10 50m free.

In prelims, First Colony Swim Team’s Hayden Bellotti and Frisco Aquatics’ Conor McKenna tied for eighth with matching 31.89s, both personal bests. In the first swim-off, the two swimmers tied again at 31.44. In the second swim-off, they tied a third time at 31.31. Finally, in the third swim-off, Bellotti posted a 31.30 to top McKenna’s 31.69.

Bellotti ended up placing sixth in the final with a 31.42.
