IMer Annie Norris Hands Verbal Commitment to Lehigh University
NEW COMMIT: Annie Norris, of Houston, Texas, and Memorial High School, has given her verbal commitment to swim for Lehigh University. She swims for Swim Houston Aquatic Center.
Norris is a strong IMer who also swims well across the 200s of stroke. Her best times are:
- 400 IM 4:23.77
- 200 IM 2:06.00
- 200 Fly 2:03.63
- 200 Free 1:52.65
- 200 Back 2:06.26
- 200 Breast 2:24.98
- 500 Free 5:01.37
Norris should be a significant contributor to the Mountain Hawks. At last year’s Patriot League Championships she would have been a 400 IM A finalist with her lifetime best time. She would have finished just ahead of Kate Bergin (4:24.29) who will be a senior in Norris’ first year. Her 200 fly best also would have landed Norris in the A final of that event. Lehigh had four upperclasswomen earn second swims in that event last year. Norris would also be a 200 IM and 200 breaststroke B finalist.
She told Swimming World,
“Incredibly excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim at Lehigh University! I can’t believe I found such an amazing team that I get to be a part of for the next four years. Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive, and helped me through this process!”

So Happy for you Annie!! Looking forward to following your next chapter.
