Indiana senior Blake Pieroni discussed his performances at the Purdue Invitational including his 200 free where he swam a 1:32.33, a time he went tapered his sophomore year. Pieroni also talked about what it was like watching former teammate Ethan Whitaker get his service assignment as part of the Navy swim team.

Pieroni also noted he wants IU to win a relay at NCAA’s. He didn’t specify which one, but if his individual goals don’t come to fruition, then he would love to end his career as a champion in a relay.

Indiana junior Lilly King talked about her swims at the Purdue Invite including her unsuited 100 breast where she still swam a sub-minute time. She also talked about how she will be swimming the 200 back on Saturday as an off event as well as what she is looking forward to for winter break training.
