Poll of the Week: What Was the Top Female Performance From the U.S. Open
Last weekend’s U.S. Open in Greensboro was not short on exceptional performances among both men and women. With an Olympic year almost upon us, it is clear that athletes are gearing up for the road to Paris. Numerous meet records went down at the meet, which served as a checkpoint of sorts for some of the top names in the sport. The competition was an opportunity to get in high-level racing, and gather information.
Several women registered multiple victories during U.S. Open action, including Canadian teenager Summer McIntosh, Hong Kong star Siobhan Haughey and American standouts Katie Ledecky, Kate Douglass and Regan Smith. Also excelling was Torri Huske in her specialty, the 100 butterfly.
So, what was the premier performance of the weekend? There are a number of options, and we’d like to here from our readers on the topic. In the poll below, select who you felt produced the best effort at the U.S. Open.
I voted for Regan, but I think Haughey’s 100BR should be on the list.
