The youngest male swimmer on the US Olympic swim team joins The Morning Swim Show to talk about his return to collegiate swimming. Nathan Adrian, a sophomore at Cal-Berkeley, talks with host Peter Busch about his experiences at the Olympics and his reaction upon seeing Jason Lezak help the United States win the gold medal in the 400 freestyle relay. Adrian also talks about how his training has changed since refocusing on college swimming and how he’s adjusting to a new coach. Adrian said he hasn’t made any specific time goals yet this season, so the NCAA marks held by Cesar Cielo in the 50 and 100 freestyles are not fully on his mind. But he does say he’s been ready to race since the Olympics and his first sub-19 second swim in December was proof of that.
