The European championships are the focus of todayโ€™s edition of The Morning Swim Show. Host Peter Busch showcases some of the fast swims from the first day of the European short course championships in Croatia, in which Franceโ€™s Amaury Leveaux broke the world record in the 50 freestyle and Paul Biedermann of Germany won the 400 free. Marleen Veldhuis also set a European record in the 100 freestyle. In an interview conducted before the European championships, Biedermann talks with Busch about his life since breaking Ian Thorpeโ€™s world record in the 200 free, saying โ€œI had a really good day โ€ฆ and felt really good in the water.โ€ He also details why he enjoys the 200 free and 400 free, why the world is getting faster and what he does in the pool to improve his times.
