With swimming just past the halfway point in the Water Cube in Beijing, The Morning Swim Show is back to analyze the world records in five events in the fourth morning of finals.

Host Peter Busch and Swimming World senior writer John Lohn analyze Michael Phelps' rout of the 200 fly – despite a mishap with his goggles – and the battle between Eamon Sullivan and Alain Bernard in the 100 free. With Katie Hoff suffering through fourth-place finishes in two finals, Lohn and Busch ponder the USA's prospects for gold in the 800 free relay.

Today's Olympic Rewind features an interview with Craig Oppel, a gold medalist in the 800 free relay at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. But Oppel was not a swimmer in the final. He won his gold medal as a member of the prelim relay, and talks about swimming in the prelim and watching the American foursome win gold. He also details the somewhat anticlimactic way in which he received his gold medal.
