Today's live edition of The Morning Swim Show featured an interview with one of the newest national high school record holders, and a talk with an Olympian preparing for this month’s NCAAs.

In case you missed our live show (airing each weekday at 10:30 a.m. MST), you can watch the video below and see host Peter Busch’s interview with Matt Thompson, who broke the national high school record in the boys’ 200 IM, only to have Kyle Whitaker take the record the same day. Thompson details when he heard about Whitaker’s swim and the MRI he had just hours before his interview to examine his shoulder.

At the Big 12 championships last weekend, Ricky Berens became the third-fastest person in the 200-yard freestyle. In his interview he talks about the quandary in selecting the events he will swim at the NCAA meet and how he’s been training since the Olympics.
