This LIVE edition of The Morning Swim Show focuses on the Michael Phelps situation involving alleged use of a pot pipe and what ramifications it will have on the sport. Brent Rutemiller presents clips of an interview he conducted with Mark Schubert, USA Swimming's national team director, about the organization's code of conduct and who has to abide by its rules. Sports psychologist and Swimming World contributor Alan Goldberg talks about the burden of being a role model in the community, and how the sacrifices and work put in for a major competition are celebrated after that accomplishment. Sports agent Andre Buck talks about the crisis management procedures that athletes go through with agents to help rectify their images in the public eye. Using recent news regarding baseball player Alex Rodriguez, Buck said agents and athletes are often put in a corner and have to find the right words in the press conference or interview. Finaly, Swimming World senior writer John Lohn discusses the actions Phelps needs to take in the pool on his return following his suspension.
