The reinstatement of Arizona State University’s men’s swim team and Olympic diving highlight Thursday’s edition of The Morning Swim Show.

Host Peter Busch talks to ASU head coach Mike Chasson about getting the men’s team reinstated, what other struggling teams can do to keep their programs alive, and how it has affected the number of recruits and continuing swimmers on his team. “It’s going to be a rebuilding year,” Chasson said.

To help break down the competition on the diving boards at the Olympics, Frank Gorman, a 1964 silver medalist on springboard, gives some analysis of the American team and which stars, namely Troy Dumais, Laura Wilkinson and Chris Colwill, will stand out most. He also talks about the Chinese divers and their chances to sweep the diving events, as well as the potential of 13-year-old diver Thomas Daley.
