Despite a great summer season, Todd Schmitz feels there is room for improvement for himself as a coach and his swimmers at the Colorado Stars. Schmitz talks about his plans for the team leading up to the Olympic Trials, his growth as a coach after being part of the world championship team and what Missy Franklin's schedule could be like at the Olympic Trials.

Todd Schmitz has a lot to celebrate this summer, from landing his first senior national team coaching gig to watching his best swimmer, Missy Franklin, make the Pan Pacific and world championships teams. Schmitz talks about his experiences and observations from being around the best swimmers and coaches in the world, and what he's going to take from it into the next season at the Colorado Stars.

Less than a week after Missy Franklin surprised the crowd at the Charlotte UltraSwim with a victory in the 200 back, Coach Todd Schmitz returns to the show to update us on training Missy and the other up-and-coming swimmers on the Colorado Stars team. He also talks about the need for coaches to remember the mental attitude of teenagers and the need to give them the space to grow and mature.
