Software Engineer

Reports to: Mark Stephens, Product Manager

You will be intimately involved in the development of new web applications for FINIS products and in house development of Magento Ecommerce extensions for FINISinc.com. You will work with Product Development to determine and implement new features for FINIS web properties that integrate with future FINIS products.

Responsibilities:
• Serve as in-house development lead for custom application development of swimming related software products
• Develop and implement custom Magento extensions & features to improve ecommerce performance
• Assist in management of technical 3rd party development teams
• Work closely with Marketing, Product development, and Operations teams to improve company branding and customer presence
• Ongoing development of existing blog (Wordpress) and Support site as needed
• Utilize web analytics to guide ongoing web improvement and development
• Manage in-house servers and databases

Qualifications:
• 3+ years of PHP, Java, or .NET (or other object-oriented language) programming experience
• 1-2 years of MySQL database experience (or other database system)
• XHTML, HTML/JavaScript knowledge
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high attention to detail
• Strong personal leadership skills

Preferred:
• Magento or other Zend framework experience
• Background in swimming (age group, high school, college or just for fun!) or triathlon

Water Sports Programs Managing Director
The Saudi Arabian Swimming Federation (SASF) seeks a Water Sports Programs Managing Director. The objective of this position is to take full responsibility for the daily operational management and associated business development activities of SASF. The Managing Director will be responsible for the strategic planning, deployment, performance evaluation, monitoring, and reporting of an Action Plan focused on broadening water sports programming and access in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate must have proven relevant experience working at a senior level in a national sport governing body or equivalent organization and have extensive experience developing and implementing strategic plans. Assistant Aquatics and Ice Rink Manager
The Chevy Chase Club, a prestigious, full service country club is seeking an Assistant Aquatics and Ice Rink Manager. The Assistant Aquatics and Ice Rink Manager will be responsible for the overall pool operation during the summer season, including the hiring, training and management of lifeguard staff; selection and retail of swim merchandise; organize and assist with aquatics events and maintain proper pool operation ensuring compliance with Montgomery County requirements.

During the winter season, the Assistant Aquatics and Ice Rink Manager will be responsible for assisting with ice resurfacing operations; skate rental and sharpening; coordination of Hockey referees, schedules, and games; assist in the preparation for Figure Skating competitions as well as effectively communicate with the membership regarding schedules, events and results.

Qualified candidates must posses the ability to communicate professionally, be detail oriented with computer proficiency and provide excellent customer service. First Aid, CPR and Lifeguard Certification are required upon hire or obtained shortly thereafter. Competitive swimming experience and Pool Operator Certification are preferred, but not required.

Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. The Longhorns Swim Camp at The University of Texas at Austin is seeking mature, motivated, and team-oriented individuals to be part of its 35th year! Exciting opportunity to work with our internationally known staff: head coaches Eddie Reese (2008 head men’s Olympic coach), Kim Brackin (2008 Olympic coach), and assistant coaches Kris Kubik (2009 World Championships coach) and Jim Henry. Guest coaches/speakers include Olympians Ian Crocker, Aaron Peirsol, Brendan Hansen, Kathleen Hersey, Colleen Lanne’-Cox, Garrett Weber-Gale, and Josh Davis. Four one-week sessions (May 27–June 22). Room, board, parking, rec sports pass, plus $500/session salary, up to $300 travel expense help, and NIKE camp apparel package included. The Waterfront Director at Camp Ton-A-Wandah is in place to further the mission of the camp through the planning and delivery of activities at the camp's waterfront that are safe, fun, and appropriate to the camper's age and abilities. He/she must also provide management to the physical operation of the waterfront's facilities and equipment. Waterfront Director should hold Red Cross Lifeguard certification and be a qualified WSI and LGI. Waterfront Director will coordinate and schedule lifeguard staff to instruct swim lessons and general swim times. Also, WFD will coordinate with Program Director on all camp events involving waterfront. Waterfront Director must hold or be willing to attend training for WSI and LGI certifications

Camp Skylemar, long considered to be one of the finest camps in the country, is in search of a well-qualified and experienced Waterfront Director.Skylemar, located in southern Maine, offers top-notch instruction and enjoyment in aquatics and land sports for 170 boys, ages 7-17. The setting is spectacular and well maintained, with 200 acres of fields and forest, and best of all, Trickey Pond.Trickey Pond, known as one of the States cleanest and most transparent body of water, is the ideal setting for our popular and well-managed swimming and boating program. Swim instruction and free-play, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, waterskiing, wakeboarding and fishing are favorite activities on our virtually private, 3 mile long lake.We are in search of a Waterfront Director who:- Has extensive experience directing an aquatics program- Shares our belief that nothing is more important than safety- Is comfortable teaching all levels, from the fearful to the competitive- Is WSI and/or LGI certified- Can train, motivate and supervise a staff of 15 collegiate swimmer/lifeguards.
