2009 STANFORD SWIM CAMPS
Camp counselors/coaches needed for this Nike sponsored swim camp. Work with and learn from Stanford Head Men’s Coach Skip Kenney and Head Women’s Coach Lea Maurer as they provide 3 sessions of instruction on the beautiful Stanford University campus. Camp instruction will have a unique focus on stroke technique and mechanics. Prior to employment, applicants must be coaching members of U.S. Swimming and certified in Coaches Safety Training, CPR and First Aid. Dates for the 2009 camps are 6/20-25, 6/27-7/2, 7/12-17, and 7/18-23. Base salaries adjusted by experience. The camp provides room and board. All staff will receive a Nike Camp apparel package. Swimming World Magazine - Newsmaster Internship
Sports Publications International, publishers of Swimming World Magazine and SwimmingWorldMagazine.com, are seeking qualified individuals for multiple Newsmaster Intern positions.
We are seeking qualified individuals for multiple intern positions to cover Masters, College, Club, World, Swimming World TV and Swimming World Radio news channels.
Responsibilities include serving as the primary contact for a selected news channel; assisting with other news channel coverage; and editing press releases sent to SwimmingWorldMagazine.com from various public relations entities across the world.
The editorial positions require excellent writing skills, flexible hours (including some weekend work) and a working knowledge of the sport of swimming. The video and audio positions also require some experience in video and/or audio production.
This is a semester-to-yearlong, for-credit Internet-based position starting when it best suits the successful candidate's academic plan. There is no need for relocation.

Pool Director: Belvoir Terrace, an individually structured educational summer program in Visual and Performing Arts and individual Sports for Girls, located in Lenox, MA – has an opening for a Pool Director. Requirements include: experience coaching competitive swimming, experience teaching Red Cross Swim Program, experience supervising staff at a swimming pool.

ASSISTANT COACHES/CAMP COUNSELORS NEEDED
The Longhorns Swim Camp at The University of Texas at Austin is seeking mature, motivated, and team-oriented individuals to be part of its 32nd year! Exciting opportunity to work with our internationally known staff: head coaches Eddie Reese (2008 Head Men’s Olympic Coach), Kim Brackin (2008 international Olympic coach), and assistant coaches Kris Kubik and Jim Henry. Guest coaches/speakers include Olympians Kirsty Coventry, Ian Crocker, Aaron Peirsol, Eric Shanteau, Neil Walker, and Josh Davis. Five one-week sessions (May 31 – July 3). Room, board, parking, rec sports pass, local telephone, plus $500/week salary, up to $300 travel expense help, and NIKE camp apparel package. HEAD SWIM COACH/AQUATICS DIRECTOR NEEDED

Create and implement a swimming program/experience that is positive, challenging and supportive of all swimmers at all levels that will enable swimmers to grow as individuals, athletes, teammates and competitors.
If so, then apply for our Head Swim Coach/Aquatics Director position. As Head Coach and Aquatics Director, you will have responsibility for the day to day direction and guidance of all aspects of our aquatics programs, including Swim Team, spring and fall swimming, Masters, “learn to swim”, and any other aquatics program that may benefit our membership. You will receive a revenue share of these programs. Our in-pool program begins in April with clinics and preseason workouts.
Applicants with a minimum of two years coaching experience who are energetic, enthusiastic and love children should apply.
Meadow Swim & Tennis Club is a small club with over 50 years of history in Orinda. In 2008, we completed an extensive club renovation that includes a brand new pool and facilities.
