TWST Head Age Group Coach

The Woodlands Swim Team (“TWST”) is actively recruiting a Head Age Group Coach. We are seeking a top tier coach to take our age group program to the next level while continuing to honor the strong traditions associated with TWST. Our swimmers have won more Texas Age Group Championships than any other team in the history of the event. Our main training facility is the CISD Natatorium, an 8 lane 50 meter or 20 lane 25 yard pool. We also use three outdoor heated community pools with 6 lanes/ 25 yards at each location. In addition to our competitive team of 400+swimmers, we have a non-competitive training group and a learn to swim program.

Candidates must have a strong background in stroke mechanics, drylands and development of a strong age group program while instilling leadership, ownership and confidence in every swimmer.

Qualifications for Head Age Group Coach:

  1. 1. 8 years or more competitive coaching with a minimum of 5 years leading high-level age group swimmers.
  2. 2. Charismatic leader and team player with the following traits: takes initiative, understands how to lead by example, enthusiastic, energetic and able to motivate.
  3. 3. History of working successfully with head coach in developing competitive, high-performance swimmers and successfully progressing them from an age group program to the national level.
  4. 4. Ability to effectively communicate goals and progressions to swimmers and parents.
  5. 5. Able to create and nurture environment of excellence in sport through aerobic/anaerobic training, drills, drylands and racing.
  6. 6. Understands and clearly communicates proper stroke development and techniques from age group to senior swimmers and can motivate swimmers to achieve their potential.
  7. 7. ASCA Level 5 certification or equivalent experience.
  8. 8. Proficient with Team Manager and Team Unify.
  9. 9. Member in good standing with USA Swimming and current with all background checks and required certifications.
  10. This is a full-time position with benefits and a 401K option. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Specific job responsibilities available upon request. Exciting opportunity to work with world-renown staff: Eddie Reese, Carol Capitani, Kris Kubik, and Roric Fink.     Virginia Tech Assistant Coach, Men's and Women's Swimming

    Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), a Division I member of the NCAA and a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference, has an immediate full-time faculty opening for an assistant coach for men’s and women’s swimming.

    The chosen candidate will coordinate and administer aspects of student-athlete recruitment for men’s and women’s swimming, operating under the appropriate NCAA bylaws.

    Coaches and / or assists with the coaching of one or more sub-components of the overall program, and assists in all aspects of student-athlete training for athletic competition.

    Reports directly to the head coach.

    A Criminal Background Investigation and driver’s license check is required for the hired candidate and the results may impact employment. The selected candidate will exemplify Virginia Tech Athletics’ core values of Integrity, Service, Honor, Excellence, and Strong Together.

    Requirements

    Bachelor’s degree with related experience; college coaching experience and / or competition experience; knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations pertaining to swimming; working knowledge of individual skills and team systems; ability to recruit and instruct student-athletes; strong desire and ability to promote the sport to the general public; excellent work ethic and communication skills required to recruit high-level student-athletes and interact with parents and coaches; ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Preference will be given for: Master’s degree; Division I coaching and or competition experience; Division I recruiting experience.

    Fork Union Military Academy is seeking to hire an Aquatics Director/Varsity Swim Coach for the 2015-2016 school year. Successful candidates will hold a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, and possess the following certifications: Certified Pool Operator, Certified American Swim Coach Level III, Certified United States Swimming Coach, Certified Lifeguard Instructor, and Certified CPR/First Aid/AED.

    The job requirements include: coordinating the Aquatics Center’s daily and special-event operations, will coordinate any needs for summer swim camp with camp director, supervisor of aquatics for the high school and club teams, works with the Director of Athletics and Athletics Facility Manager in coordinating staff assignments to supervise activities, repairs and maintenance of aquatics facilities, oversees organization of the Fork Union Aquatic Club Swim Team, will offer and instruct lifeguard courses, will attend various home aquatic competitions and be willing to support any needs that may occur during the event, and other duties as assigned.

    West Virginia University invites applications for the position of Assistant Men’s & Women’s Swimming Coach. Duties and responsibilities include, assisting with the recruitment, guidance, education and development of student-athletes to achieve their fullest potential with the fundamental characteristics and requirements that are necessary to conduct and produce a successful university intercollegiate men’s & women’s swimming program while instilling the importance of academic achievements at the Division I level.

    Develop and maintain a comprehensive and functional knowledge of the sport, and actively seek to develop new methods and strategies of the sport.  Maintain continual and thorough knowledge of all applicable NCAA, Conference, University and department rules and regulations.  Must communicate and interact with personnel in all support areas in the athletic department, as well as within the university community, parents, alumni, and fans.  This position is expected to coordinate recruiting and team travel, and participate in the marketing and promotion of the men’s and women’s swimming program. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Head Men’s & Women’s Swimming Coach.

    Bachelor’s degree and three years previous coaching experience, preferably at the Division I level, or elite competitive experience, is required.

    The Athletics Department at Towson University is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Swim Coach to provide assistance to the Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Program under the direction of the Head Coach.

    Responsibilities: Recruit and evaluate prospective student-athletes through the use of New Media Technologies; organize official visits including assigning host, creating travel itineraries, and managing all budgetary elements of visits while adhering to all NCAA regulations; provide skills instruction for student athletes; assist with academic support, fundraising activities, and community service; responsible for meet management, hyteck entries, and record-keeping for all home and away competitions; handle all Game Day operations including travel, bus, hotel, and restaurant plans; and other duties as assigned by Head Coach.

    Requirements: Bachelor's degree and two years coaching experience at the collegiate, high school, and/or camp/clinic level. The selected candidate must have working knowledge of NCAA and Conference rules relevant to all aspects of the men's and women's swimming program and working knowledge of hytek software. The selected candidate must have CPR, FA, LGT, APT, and CST certifications prior to employment. A Criminal Background Investigation is required for the hired candidate and the results may impact employment.

    Salary: Competitive salary with full University benefits that include excellent health, life insurance, and retirement plans; tuition remission; and annual leave, holidays, personal and sick days. The position is contingent on funds being available at time of hire.
