\nThe City of Omaha has pledged $750,000 in taxpayer money to cover some of USA Swimming\u2019s more than $3 million in costs to host the 2020 US. Olympic Swimming Trials. The money was needed to keep the trials in Omaha after sponsor Mutual of Omaha scaled back its support.<\/p>\n
\nMatt Crispino, who built William & Mary swimming and diving into a Colonial Athletic Association powerhouse, has been hired as the head men\u2019s swimming and diving coach at Princeton University. He replaces Rob Orr, who retired after 40 years with the Tigers.<\/p>\n
\nTwo-time Olympic gold medalist Mark Gangloff has been named the new head coach for the men\u2019s and women\u2019s swimming and diving programs at the University of North Carolina. Gangloff comes to UNC after seven years at the University of Missouri, where he served as the Tigers\u2019 associate head coach for the last two seasons.<\/p>\n
