FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., USA, September 2. STOLEN in 2004 from the International Swimming Hall of Fame, the five Olympic gold medals won by Johnny Weissmuller will be returned to the ISHOF in a ceremony on September 8 at 1 o\u2019clock. Weissmuller collected his Olympic hardware in 1924 and 1928, prior to gaining further fame as television\u2019s Tarzan.<\/p>\n
During the ceremony, the Hall of Fame will also introduce its new board of directors and a sponsor. The legendary Mark Spitz, the Chairman of the Board, will be on hand, along with Bruce Wigo, the new President and CEO of the Hall of Fame.
