CLEMSON, South Carolina, USA, August 30. CONTINUING the spree of assistant coaching hirings throughout the nation, Jonathan Kaplan has been named to the staff at Clemson University. Kaplan will aid head coach Christopher Ip with both the men\u2019s and women\u2019s squads at the Atlantic Coast Conference school. Kaplan was the head coach at the North Central Florida YMCA in Gainesville.<\/p>\n
Also a graduate assistant at Florida State during the past two years, Kaplan is a 2002 graduate of that school and has experience as the head coach at Lawton Chiles High. Kaplan is expected to work with the distance freestylers and the 400 I.M. athletes. His coaching background also includes a stint as the head coach of the Venezuelan open-water team.<\/p>\n
