SET your VCRs or schedule some television viewing for this weekend, as the Duel in the Pool will be aired Saturday and Sunday by NBC Sports. Held on Tuesday at the Woollett Aquatic Center in Irvine (Calif.), the Duel matched the USA vs. Australia in a matchup won by the States.<\/p>\n<p>A number of spectacular swims were produced at the meet, including a near-world-record swim from Aussie Leisel Jones in the 100 breast. Meanwhile, American Brendan Hansen popped the third-fastest 100 breast in the history of the event on the male side. Hansen holds the top-three marks of all-time.<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, the meet will be aired on NBC from 4-6 p.m. (EDT). As for Sunday, it will run from 12:30-2 p.m. (EDT). Michael Phelps left the Duel in the Pool with a trio of victories and Lisbeth Lenton continued to dazzle for Australia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>IRVINE, Calif., August 5.
